When Western friends hear the word “Ten Gods,” they often mistake it for some kind of polytheistic religious concept. This is all a cultural misunderstanding of translation.
In the octal system, the word “God” does not stand for a deity, but for “function” or “role.” More precisely, ten gods are ten kinds ofAlgebraic variables

If we set the Day Master to X, then the other trunk is Y. The Ten Divine Systems are used to define the relationship between X and Y.

Five prototypes of relationships

No matter how complex the world is, there are only five kinds of relationships between people and everything in the end. For ease of understanding, we've given these five relationships a more modern definition:

Type 1: Resource/Input
Traditional names: True Seal, Partial Seal (Owl God).
Definition: Input system.
This is your source of energy. It stands for Mother, Education, Knowledge, Real Estate, Umbrella.
If something goes wrong with the system, people feel insecure, or their minds are clogged and they can't learn.

Type 2: I am a living person (Output/Expression)
Traditional titles: Gourmand, Injured Officer.
Definition: Output system.
This is your energy outlet. It represents talent, eloquence, creativity, and women's children.
A person with a well-developed output system, usually very smart, rebellious, and in pursuit of freedom. But it is also easy to cause physical weakness due to excessive "deflation".

Third: Wealth/Control
Traditional name: correct wealth, partial wealth.
Definition: Control objective.
This is what you want to control. It represents money, material desires, and male partners.
Note that "g" is used here. This means that acquiring wealth is essentially a process of expending energy to conquer. If you don't have enough energy (weakness), you will be crushed by money instead.

Fourth: Grammar (Power/Discipline)
Traditional titles: official, seven kills.
Definition: Rule system.
This is to restrain your power. It represents the law, the boss, the pressure, and the woman's partner.
Moderate stress (official) can make you a talent and become self-disciplined; excessive stress (seven killings) can turn into violent attacks, leading to disaster.

Fifth: Companion/Leverage
Traditional titles: shoulder comparison, plundering of wealth.
Definition: Competition and cooperation.
This is the power of the same attributes as you. It represents brothers, friends, competitors.
It is a double-edged sword. When you are weak, it is a helper; when you are rich, it is a robber.

Yin-Yang determines the color of personality

These five relationships, combined with the difference between yin and yang, differentiated into ten specific roles.
For example, it is also "grievous to me" (official killing):
If it is the opposite sex (yang keyin, or yin keyang), it is an emotional discipline, called "official". Such people are generally disciplined, upright, and aristocratic.
If it is homosexuality (Yang Keyang, or Yin Keyin), it is ruthless repression, called "seven killings". Such people are usually rebellious, aggressive, extremely combat-ready, and prone to heroes in chaotic worlds.

When you understand the Ten Gods, you have a common set of personality analysis codes. In the next article, we will disassemble the detailed scripts of these ten characters one by one.
